If your work could disturb asbestos — construction, electrical, plumbing, joinery, demolition, maintenance or caretaking in buildings built or refurbished before 2000 — Regulation 10 of the Control of Asbestos Regulations 2012 requires your employer to provide awareness training. This course covers the full HSE Category A syllabus that satisfies that requirement.
Yes — HSE accepts e-learning as a valid way to deliver Category A awareness training, provided the content covers the required syllabus. Awareness training is about recognising and avoiding asbestos; it does not license anyone to work with or remove it.
